SUMMARY

Our client in the telecommunications sector is looking for an AI Data Engineer on a contract duration of 6 months.

As the Manager: AI Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating data pipelines and data products purpose‑built for AI and advanced analytics use cases across. The role focuses on enabling feature engineering, curated datasets, real‑time and batch data pipelines, and data quality controls that support machine learning models, generative AI systems, and AI-enabled business services. You will work closely with AI Platform Engineering, Data Platform teams, MLOps, AI Application Engineers, Security & Risk, and Business stakeholders, ensuring AI solutions are powered by accurate, compliant, and production‑ready data.

POSITION INFO

Education: Master of Science, Computer Science, Big Data, Information systems, Engineering, Data/AI related Experience: 5+ years' experience in: Data engineering or platform data roles Hands‑on experience building: Large‑scale data pipelines (batch and streaming) Feature engineering pipelines Experience working with: Cloud data platforms (Azure a must) Structured and unstructured data Experience in financial services, fintech, telco, or regulated industries is advantageous Exposure to AI/ML or advanced analytics workloads preferred Competencies: Technical Competencies Data pipeline and orchestration patterns Feature store concepts and implementation Streaming and batch data processing Data quality, lineage, and observability Cloud-native data platforms Security and privacy‑by‑design principles Skills Strong data modelling and problem‑solving abilities Clear technical documentation and communication Collaboration across AI, platform, and business teams Ability to balance speed with data discipline Continuous improvement mindset
