SUMMARY

POSITION INFO

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused IT Desktop Support Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide first-line technical support to end users, ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems, hardware, software, and network connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support to users both remotely and on-site.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, email, and network-related issues.
• Set up user accounts and manage passwords and system access.
• Install and update operating systems and software applications.
• Maintain IT equipment and asset records.
• Escalate complex technical issues where required.
• Ensure excellent customer service and timely resolution of support requests.
• Assist with basic network troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
• Support IT projects, upgrades, and system rollouts.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Relevant IT qualification (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree).
• 2–4 years' experience in an IT Desktop Support or Helpdesk role.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, Active Directory, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
