Operator Hand Tool

Our Operator: Hand Tool role plays an important part in the Woodwork Department by preparing solid timber furniture for the next stage of production through careful preparation work and attention to detail.

We are looking for a practical, hardworking individual who enjoys working with their hands and is committed to maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency within a production environment. Key Responsibilities

• Sanding and finishing of wooden furniture legs and other small wooden items
• Use small hand tools safely and correctly during preparation processes
• Prepare furniture pieces according to production and quality requirements
• Inspect workpieces for defects, gaps, cracks, or areas requiring attention
• Ensure preparation work is completed neatly, accurately, and efficiently
• Handle timber furniture and materials carefully to avoid damage
• Follow instructions from the line manager and production team
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness within the work area
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Report quality concerns, unsafe conditions, or tool issues to the supervisor
• Perform ad hoc duties as required by the line manager

Minimum Requirements

• Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours when required
