Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum educational qualification of Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level.
  • Basic computer literacy to efficiently manage stock and complete administrative tasks.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including different shifts as required by the business.
  • Experience in a retail or food environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly and politely.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills sufficient to understand and apply operational procedures.
  • Attention to detail to maintain stock quality, adhere to safety and hygiene standards, and minimize shrinkage.
  • Ability to demonstrate product knowledge and assist customers with product-related queries.
  • Commitment to ethical behavior, reliability, and teamwork within a dynamic retail setting.
  • Capacity to operate under pressure with a pleasant demeanour and maintain professionalism at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional service and expert product knowledge.
  • Maintain stock levels by replenishing shelves, implementing stock rotation, and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, hygiene, and food handling protocols at all times.
  • Operate cashier and complete basic administrative tasks with required computer literacy.
  • Identify and report quality issues, suspicious activity, and stock shrinkage promptly.
  • Maintain department cleanliness and organize shelves according to planograms and company standards.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge and communicate promotions or new lines effectively to customers.
  • Work flexibly across various shifts to meet business needs while upholding professional behavior.
  • Collaborate with team members, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies regarding attendance, dress code, and personal conduct.
