We're looking for an experienced Bookkeeper who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in keeping financial records accurate, organised, and up to date. If you're detail-driven, proactive, and enjoy solving problems, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing daily cashbooks, bank deposits, payment allocations, and reconciliations across multiple bank accounts
- Capturing and processing income and expenditure accurately
- Processing invoices, receipts, credit notes, and refunds
- Managing debtor accounts, including payment allocations, collections, and age analysis
- Reconciling debtor and creditor accounts
- Processing supplier invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and resolving account queries
- Preparing supplier payment schedules and ensuring payments are made within agreed terms
- Submitting invoices via customer payment platforms
- Preparing month-end reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial reports for management
- Responding to day-to-day finance queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate financial records and organised filing systems
- Ensuring compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Supporting internal and external audit requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies
- Assisting with additional finance-related responsibilities as required
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' bookkeeping experience in a similar role
- A relevant qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or Finance will be advantageous
- Experience with Sage Online and Pastel (essential)
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, reconciliations, and financial controls
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- A valid driver's licence and own reliable transport
