Position Title: Public Relations and Marketing Manager
Directorate: Chief Executive
Grade: D1
Reports to: Chief Executive
Peer Relationships: Managers and Section Officers
Direct Subordinates: None
Internal Liaison: Directorate of Quality Assurance; Planning and M&E; Information and Communication Technology; Human Resources and Corporate Services; Finance
External Liaison: Higher education institutions, regulatory bodies, media houses, government agencies, development partners, and other stakeholders
Purpose of the Job
The purpose of this job is to lead the development and implementation of public relations, communication, and marketing strategies to enhance the visibility, reputation, and stakeholder engagement of the Council on Higher Education (CHE), and to promote awareness of its mandate, policies, and services.

Qualifications
Essential Requirements
A postgraduate qualification in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
Experience
At least five (5) years’ relevant experience in public relations, communications, or marketing
Key Competencies
- Knowledge of public relations, communication, and marketing principles
- Media relations and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills
- Digital communication and social media management
- Branding and campaign management
- Analytical thinking and strategic awareness
- Ability to develop and implement communication strategies
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Results-oriented with ability to measure impact
