A vacancy exists for an Area Manager in the  Estates Protection Services Division based in the Western Cape. Servicing, but not limited to the following areas:

The suitable candidate's main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following: The successful candidate will be an experienced, self-driven, and dynamic security professional with a strong operational background and a proven track record of successfully managing multiple contracts, leading security teams, and maintaining excellent client relationships. Will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, service delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement across all assigned sites. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership ability, excellent client liaison skills, and the ability to identify, manage, and resolve operational challenges timeously. The position requires an individual who takes ownership, works independently, and is able to effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining high service standards and strong relationships with clients, employees, and internal stakeholders. Support Clients while ensuring that all client expectations and contractual requirements are consistently met. Maintaining strong client relationships through regular engagement, proactive communication, effective problem-solving, and ensuring that all client concerns, complaints, and operational matters are addressed and resolved timeously. Conduct investigations into security breaches and recommend corrective actions Managing multiple operational sites, including manpower planning, deployment structures, rostering, leave management, equipment control, and ensuring optimal operational coverage Ensuring that all incidents, complaints, investigations, and operational challenges are reported, escalated, and managed professionally through dynamic and accurate reporting processes. Compiling and reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports, ensuring management and clients receive accurate information regarding operational performance, risks, trends, and corrective actions. Ensuring full compliance with contractual requirements, company policies, SOPs, ISO 9001 quality standards, health and safety requirements, and all applicable operational procedures. Managing disciplinary processes and ensuring workforce discipline and performance standards are maintained. Providing strong leadership and support to Site Managers, Supervisors, and Security Officers, ensuring accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement. Ensuring that employee concerns and operational challenges are addressed effectively and that solutions are implemented to improve service delivery. Identifying training requirements and ensuring that personnel receive the necessary training to maintain professional security standards. Conducting regular site visits, including after-hours inspections where required, and providing operational support during emergencies, shift changes, and critical incidents. The successful candidate must be available to provide operational support when required, including attending meetings, responding to urgent matters, and assisting with operational challenges outside normal working hours. Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:   Minimum Requirements and Preferred Skills: PSIRA Grade A certification. Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. Valid driver's license and own reliable transport (essential). Proven experience in a Senior Area Manager, Operations Manager, or similar senior security management role. Demonstrated experience managing multiple security sites and large operational teams. Excellent client liaison, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Self-driven with the ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and take ownership of operational responsibilities. A motivated and professional security leader who demonstrates integrity, accountability, strong decision-making ability, and the capability to build long-term relationships with clients while driving operational excellence. Strong administrative ability with excellent reporting skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage pressure, prioritize tasks, and deliver results within demanding operational environments. Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Bilingual in English and another South African language. Firearm competency and Regulation 21 certification will be advantageous. Handgun, shotgun, and rifle training will be advantageous. First Aid and Fire Fighting training will be advantageous. Willingness to undergo polygraph testing. Clean disciplinary, criminal, and credit record Financial Acumen Computer Literacy.
