SUMMARY

A leading hospitality group is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Group Procurement Manager to oversee procurement operations across its portfolio of hotels and lodges.

Based at the Cape Town Head Office, with regular travel to various properties, this strategic role is responsible for developing and implementing group-wide procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring consistent purchasing standards across all operations.

The successful candidate will have extensive hospitality procurement experience, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to deliver measurable cost savings while maintaining quality and operational excellence.

POSITION INFO

REQUIREMENT: RSA ID and legal residence essential Minimum 5-10 years' procurement experience, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry Proven experience managing procurement across multiple properties or regional operations Strong strategic sourcing and supplier management experience Extensive contract negotiation skills Strong financial, analytical, and commercial acumen Experience managing procurement budgets and cost controls Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills Strong reporting, planning, and organisational abilities Computer literacy with advanced Microsoft Excel skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to travel regularly to hotels and lodges within the group Relevant procurement, supply chain, or business qualification advantageous KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement group-wide procurement strategies and policies Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best value and service levels Standardise procurement processes across all hotels and lodges Manage supplier contracts, pricing, and service agreements Oversee tender processes and supplier selection Monitor procurement budgets, expenditure, and purchasing performance Deliver annual procurement savings targets and identify ongoing cost-saving opportunities Analyse purchasing trends and recommend operational efficiencies Reduce waste through improved procurement practices and inventory optimisation Ensure the effective procurement of goods and services across all properties Manage the Cost of Sales (COS) across all procurement categories within the group Build strong relationships with operational teams and key suppliers Produce procurement reports and provide strategic recommendations to senior management PACKAGE: R55,000 - R60,000 per month (Negotiable DOE) LOCATION: Cape Town - Western Cape (Head Office)
