SUMMARY

An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Maintenance Controller to be based on the East Rand, in Kempton Park. We are looking for a hands-on, technically strong professional to oversee and co-ordinate all maintenance operations, ensuring maximum equipment availability, plant efficiency, and compliance.

POSITION INFO

Successful incumbent will have a completed Engineering qualification / Trade Test Certificate, coupled with 5-10 years experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing sector . Proven experience in MSOffice, SCADA and SAP essential as well as knowledge of the OHS Act with proven supervisory management and job planning experience. Key Responsibilities: - Drive and manage preventative maintenance programs - Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and work instructions - Lead root cause failure analysis to minimize breakdowns - Oversee plant shutdown planning and execution - Manage maintenance work orders and preventative plans on SAP - Supervise, train, and support maintenance teams - Ensure safety, statutory, and ISO compliance - Manage maintenance budgets and cost-saving initiatives - Coordinate contractors and planned projects - Implement new equipment and technologies to improve productivity Requirements: ✔ Strong maintenance and engineering background ✔ Proven experience in plant maintenance and shutdown planning ✔ SAP maintenance systems experience ✔ Strong leadership and people management skills ✔ Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting ability ✔ Knowledge of safety and ISO compliance standards If you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have a passion for operational excellence, we'd love to hear from you.
