POSITION INFO

This is an ideal opportunity if you have worked within the motor parts/ workshop space and are looking for the next step. You will be developed to assist the Branch Manager for a future as GM in a couple of years. Your excellent management skills, communication skills, coupled with the ability to take ownership, will make you a suitable candidate for this role. This position is based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. Requirements: Motor Industry Experience - not as a car sales person but in Parts division Sales background Self-motivated, driven Duties will include: Sales:

  • Establishing new business and maintaining current business and client relationships.
  • Ensure customer service is exceptional and that company are the client's main supplier of components.
  • Demonstrating and presenting products to new and existing customers.
  • Create and market customer-specific marketing solutions.
  • Ensure claims, credit notes and other issues from clients are dealt with timeously and ensuring a positive outcome.
  • Achieving and exceeding agreed upon sales targets and outcomes.
  • Ensuring sales staff members are motivated and have the necessary product knowledge.
  • Provide sales training where necessary.
  • Identify new opportunities in the market and ways of improving our service.
  • Make recommendations for price reviews to ensure our competitiveness.
  • Ensure timeous quotes are provided to customers.
  • Ensure clients credit limits are adhered to.
  • Ensure debtors stay within their credit limits. General Management:
  • Managing day to day activities of all staff at branch and ensuring they perform their duties.
  • Supervise staff and generate performance reports, provide feedback to staff members.
  • Manage staff related issues, i.e. approve leave, sick leave, disciplinary/dismissal hearings, hiring of staff and other related procedures and more.
  • Conduct staff training if need be.
  • Ensuring all internal controls that the group has implemented are adhered to.
  • Purchasing of local goods, and appropriate planning for when these goods need to be purchased.
  • Approving and signing off, of all invoices/expenses that the company undergoes, and ensuring they are within budget.
  • Coordinate appropriate record keeping by all staff members, for accountants and auditors' purposes.
  • Preparing detailed yearly budgets.
  • Reviewing monthly management accounts, providing detailed reasons for variances and take corrective action.
  • Preparing weekly feedback management reports.
  • Ensuring all assets of the company are properly protected and maintained. Stock:
  • Ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained to provide optimum service levels to clients.
  • Provide monthly inputs in respect of additional quantities and new part numbers in stock orders placed on overseas suppliers.
  • Responsible for co-ordinating monthly stock counts, and adjustments to stock.
  • Liaising with the ordering department to ensure sufficient stock on hand, managing excess and dead stock.
  • Ensure products couriered to customers or forwarded to other branches are received within the time frame agreed.
  • Ensure products received from suppliers are unpacked timeously and checked before they are put on the shelves.
  • Ensure that security of stock is excellent. Logistics
  • Ensure that the fleet of vehicles are properly maintained.
  • Ensure that the driver's activities are properly monitored from the time they load, the routes they take, the time they take and the signing off of the product delivered.
  • Ensure that products forwarded via Couriers are also properly monitored to ensure customers receive their product as promised.
  • Ensure that products forwarded to other branches are received within the time span agreed.
  • Ensure that products received from Suppliers are unpacked timeously and checked before they are put on the shelves. Administration:
  • Ensure that all staff are properly appointed and receive employment contracts.
  • Ensure that staff understand their goals and are regularly evaluated to measure performance.
  • Ensure that personnel policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure that all purchases and expenses are properly recorded and signed off by yourself.
  • Ensure that expenditure stays within budget parameters.
  • Ensure that all Assets of the Company are properly protected and maintained.
  • Prepare annual budgets for the branch.
  • Study monthly management results and take corrective actions. This is an opportunity of a lifetime.
