Junior Project Engineer

The purpose of this position is to drive the design, construction, commissioning, and hand over of various on-site and off-site projects.

• Onsite construction, implementation, and supervision of various projects
• Onsite commissioning of engineering projects
• Assist the Engineering Manager: Projects, in any project engineering activities
• Contribute to the continuous optimization of the production process
• Draft manuals and procedures as required within the department
• Spare parts and stores management
• Management of maintenance tasks and personnel
• Always ensure a safe working environment.

Health and Safety

• Participate in safety forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talks
• Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
• Comply with safety policies and procedures at Soill
• Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times

Qualification and Experience

• B.Eng. (Mechanical) Degree / BTech (Mechanical)
• 1 – 2 years Mechanical Engineering Experience
• Hands-on experience is essential, before, during or after tertiary education
• General experience in estimating / design work will be advantageous
