Purpose of position
Managing and leading the liabilities team to continually improve customer service levels.
Responsibilities
- Attending to allocation of new claims
- Managing liability payments and authorisation thereof
- Updating daily payment stats and data
- Attending to payment escalation responses
- Managing complaints and escalation emails
- Authorising and finalising claims
- Managing team performance to achieve targets
- Dealing with client queries and complaints professionally and in line with company values
- Managing escalations and relationships with other insurers
- Providing weekly feedback to legal managers
- Providing coaching and training of staff
- Handling and monitoring performance-related issues as well as disciplinary matters
Requirements
- Matric (essential)
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in short term insurance claims or legal
- Liabilities experience
- Management experience (advantageous)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
