Purpose of position
Managing and leading the insured recoveries team to continually improve on success ratios and monies recovered whilst ensuring continued improvement of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the team with their day-to-day queries
- Authorising and finalising claims
- Ensuring that targets are met by working proactively with the team
- Dealing with client queries and complaints professionally and in line with company values
- Relationship management with other insurers
- Providing weekly feedback to legal managers
- Monthly reporting
- Coaching and training of staff
- Handling and monitoring performance-related issues as well as disciplinary matters
Requirements
- Matric (essential)
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in short term insurance claims or legal
- Recoveries experience (advantageous)
- Management experience (advantageous)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
