Position Description

Position title: Third Party Contracting Specialist

Location: Johannesburg

Purpose Of Position

Collaborating and assisting with the execution of Third-Party Contracting matters while ensuring firm wide compliance to the Global Quality and Risk Management Manual, relevant Labour Laws, tax requirements and HR/Risk policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • Custodian of the Third-Party Contracting process and procedures
  • Custodian of the Third-Party Contracting process document
  • Ultimate responsibility for the Third-Party tracker and the accuracy and reliability thereof
  • Ensure compliance to the Third-Party Contracting process by the HR teams across the Southern Africa Region.
  • Liaise with all relevant internal and external stakeholders regarding contracts. Assist HR, business and experienced hire recruiters through the administration of contracts. Consult with legal as appropriate. Follow up with business and HR teams and act on expiring contracts, risk requirements and compulsory training.
  • Provide advice on the Third-Party contracting process to the HR team and business
  • Assist in resolving Third-Party contracting queries
  • Assist in tracking of on boarding and annual training to be completed by third parties. Escalate any non-compliance to HR managers to ensure appropriate action is taken
  • Assist colleagues with question regarding the use of the Third-party technology/ tool
  • As the Third Party related International Standard of Quality Management control operator, perform controls, document the control operations and verify, with evidence, the control’s effectiveness.
  • Assist to compile the documentation for the relevant International Standard of Quality Management controls
  • Assist with International Standard of Quality Management and Quality Control Review queries

Person Specification

Working in a delivery focused team, this position requires a specialist who is approachable, knowledgeable, taking a positive, co-operative, “can do” approach to quickly, efficiently and objectively resolve problems, follow up enquiries, and respond in a positive and timely manner while remaining firm but fair.

Experience/Knowledge

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in dealing with Third Party contracting advantageous
  • Good understanding of the relevant Labour Laws
  • Good grasp of technology
  • Good understanding the KPMG Third-party contracting process and Global risk management processes related to third parties would be advantageous
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Experience in a professional services firm
