As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse – Theatre to be based in Cape Town South Africa.
Requirements
Registered Nurse with valid SANC registration
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a surgical/theatre role in private healthcare
Theatre technique or operating room post-basic qualification (advantageous)
Minimum 3 year experience in private hospitals
Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
Key responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care across pre-, intra- and postoperative stages
Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control measures
Monitor patient condition and vital signs throughout procedures
Manage surgical instruments and assist with theatre setup
Supervise and support enrolled nurses and healthcare assistants
Participate in clinical audits and continuous quality improvement
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical and stock records
Support training and mentorship of junior team members
