Commercial Analyst - Manufacturing

A leading manufacturing concern based in the Cape Town Southern Suburbs is seeking a Commercial Analyst to join their team.

This role will suit an analytical and detail-driven individual who enjoys working with data, supply chain processes, inventory optimisation, and identifying opportunities to improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyse supply chain and inventory data to support decision-making

- Monitor stock levels, inventory trends, and identify risks or opportunities

- Support planning processes to ensure availability and reliability

- Prepare reports on inventory, usage trends, variances, and exceptions

- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve stock efficiency, and optimise processes

- Work closely with supply chain, operations, procurement, and warehouse teams

- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation

Requirements

- Degree / qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Management, or related field

- 2-5 years' experience within a manufacturing, production, or supply chain environment

- Experience in inventory management, planning, supply chain analysis, or related roles

- Strong analytical ability with excellent Excel skills

- Experience with ERP systems (SAP advantageous)

- Understanding of MRP, forecasting, and inventory management principles

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
