SUMMARY
Our client in the industrial and manufacturing services industry is seeking to employ a Junior Field Service Technician to join their dynamic team based in Port Elizabeth.
POSITION INFO
Requirements: Grade 12 (with English & Mathematics) or equivalent Technical Trade Certificate Minimum 2-3 years as Apprentice Field Service Technician Minimum of 2-3 years technical, electrical or industrial working experience Ability to work with hand tools and power tools Ability to weld (welding qualification an advantage) Ability to work at heights (Working at Heights qualification necessary) First Aid Level 1 Valid South African Driver's License Responsibilities: Installations Executing accurate installations of all products. Ensure that the assigned installation is completed in good time to achieve excellent customer service. Taking full and total responsibility for each installation. Repairs and Maintenance Repairs, maintenance and servicing of all mechanical and electrical parts on all types of doors and docking equipment. Ensuring efficiency in getting the job done right the first time without delays or recalls. Quality of Workmanship Adhering to strict installation quality control measures to ensure high standard of product and installation. 100% adherence to process and quality standard. Commissioning and Hand Over Ensuring that each installation is professionally handed over to the client together with senior management if necessary. Ensuring the following is handed over and receipt acknowledged by the client: Manuals Certificates Warranties General Duties - Technical Execute technical and other duties assigned at customer sites. Working Environment Ensuring that all tools and machinery are in working order and report damaged or lost tools. Efficiency in executing tasks. No damaged or missing tools or machinery, adhering to company policies and procedures. Vehicles are tidy, clean and presentable. Using a checklist, vehicles need to be checked once a month to ensure that all tools are accounted for and in good working order, that the vehicle itself is in good working order and whether there is unaccounted stock in the vehicles. The tidiness and cleanliness of the vehicle is to be upheld at all times. All safety equipment / safety clothing and safety requirements have to be checked on a monthly basis and replaced or repaired where necessary. Maintaining a clean, clear, tidy working environment at all times. Considering your own safety as well as that of your co-workers at all times. Full OHS PPE compliance. Customer Service Ensuring customer satisfaction in every aspect of your duties. Be aware of the customer, the respect you show and how you interact. Always try to exceed the customer's expectation by "under promise and over deliver". Ensure that you look presentable when interacting with a client. Always strive for exceptional customer service. Full client retention. Team Responsibilities Assisting team members outside of your scope of duty if the need arises. Always show courtesy, respect and friendliness towards your team members. Lead by example. Be open to suggestions and advice from team members and management. Achievement of team targets.
