Legal Specialist - Financial Planning and Advice

Legal Specialist with an LLB Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning And minimum 5 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry assisting Financial Advisers with financial planning advice, required to provide technical support to Advisers, for this FSP based in Tygervalley, Cape Town.

Responsibilities:

• Provide proactive technical support to advisers
• Responsible for daily tactical and legal matters in the distribution environment
• Implement regulatory changes
• Interact with marketing, distribution and other divisional teams
• Strategic research, provide strategic proposals
• As Subject Matter Expert support digital advice team
• Provide technical support to advisers, TAS colleagues, and other teams
• Engage with PPARA team to understand impact of regulatory changes
• Represent TAS on distribution/advice and technical matters
• Responsible for CPD accredited training

Minimum requirements:

• LLB Degree essential
• Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning essential
• CFP status advantageous
• Minimum 5 years’ knowledge and experience in the Financial Services Industry essential
• Experience in assisting Financial Advisers with financial planning advice, required
• Experience in regulatory matters in the financial industry required
• Experience in working with digital financial advice tools required
