About the role
You will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with property owners, property managers, facilities managers and building management teams across commercial, retail, healthcare and residential environments. You will engage with organisations such as shopping centres, office parks, hospitals, mixed-use developments and premium residential estates to understand their existing service and maintenance arrangements and identify opportunities to secure long-term service agreements.
The role combines new business development with account management. You will actively pursue opportunities to convert clients from incumbent service providers, negotiate service agreements, manage the renewal process and ensure customers receive ongoing value from the partnership. Once secured, you will continue to nurture these relationships, identify opportunities for portfolio growth and act as a trusted advisor to your clients.
The services provided are essential to the ongoing operation, compliance and safety of critical building infrastructure, creating a strong recurring revenue model and long-term client relationships.
What we are looking for
The role is best suited to a commercially minded professional who enjoys growing new business, building relationships, retaining clients and negotiating contracts.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have sold service, maintenance, rental, facilities management or other contract-based solutions where customer retention, contract renewals and recurring revenue form a key part of the sales cycle.
Successful candidates may come from industries such as facilities management, security services, hygiene services, HVAC, fire and access control systems, office automation, telecommunications, technical services, maintenance contracts or similar business-to-business environments.
To be successful, you will need:
Proven experience in contract sales, account management or business development.
Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
The ability to build lasting client relationships.
A track record of retaining and growing customer accounts.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
A proactive, results-driven approach and a genuine desire to exceed expectations.
Must have own, professional vehicle (no company vehicles are on offer)
