Applications Support Administrator (x2)

Job Purpose

To provide IT application user support to business

Minimum Requirements

  • National Diploma / B Degree in Information Technology
  • Minimum of 3 years IT applications support experience.
  • Knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Minimum of 2 years programming experience in relevant technology .
  • Minimum 1 year experience in application, API, database testing (unit testing of code, integration testing of modules, regression testing, data testing, end-to-end functional testing).
  • Minimum 1 year experience in database administration (query design and scripts) either SQL server, Informix or Oracle.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To perform application trouble shooting, optimization, and reporting.
  • Handling or managing internal customer or ticketed query system. Resolving and closing queries.
  • To make input into operating policies, procedures and guidelines;
  • To report on performance and to identify and escalate performance constraints.
  • To test applications developed in-house by CIPC developers.
  • To test API and database development by CIPC backend developers.
  • Working with development team, analysts and customer to maintain and improve applications and workflows.
