Artisan Assistant - Mechanical (I Hay band)

Reporting to the Mechanical Foreman the successful candidate will provide assistance to Artisans on daily functions.

Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) or equivalent
1year working experience in a welding workshop environment
A valid driver’s license will serve as an advantage with ability to pass Randwater K53

Assisting Artisan with maintenance tasks and inspections
Loading and unloading of tools and equipment on to the transport
Painting and cleaning structures, pumps and floors
Inspect and repair all mechanical plant/ equipment on site
Work as determined by foreman
To work overtime when there is an urgent task on your area of work
To ensure that all required defects and work instructions are completed and handed in within two days after completion of tasks
To report all plant defects that relate to health and safety
To ensure all safety precautions are followed when working with tools and equipment.
Security and control over allocated and Artisan tools
To ensure access control system adhered to.
