Millwright - Rietvlei - Salary up to R33,000 CTC per month,

CK Africa Talent is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well established leader in the manufacturing industry, for an experienced Millwright to join their Engineering team based in Rietvlei.

This role is suited to a trade tested Millwright with strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives through effective preventative and corrective maintenance. Experience with modern industrial automation, PLCs, robotics, and drive systems is essential.

• Perform planned preventative and breakdown maintenance on production equipment.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical inspections on plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
• Carry out electrical installations as approved by the Engineering Superintendent.
• Perform PLC fault finding and support automation improvements.
• Maintain plant equipment to achieve targeted equipment availability.
• Complete maintenance activities in accordance with planned maintenance schedules and job cards.
• Assist Fitters and Boilermakers when required.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in a safe and serviceable condition.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and company procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Qualified Trade Tested Millwright.
• 4 to 5 years' experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience.
• Minimum 3 years' experience with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Computer literate (MS Office).
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.

• Siemens PLCs.
• Rockwell Automation (Allen Bradley), including CompactLogix and ControlLogix.
• Weintek HMI operator panels.
• SCADA systems, including InduSoft Web Studio and exposure to Ignition SCADA.
• Industrial automation and control systems.

Robotics & Motion Control

• Fanuc industrial robots.
• Allen Bradley servo systems.
• SEW EURODRIVE servo systems.
• Yaskawa Variable Speed Drives (VSDs).
• SEW EURODRIVE Movidrive B.

Instrumentation & Diagnostics

• SICK sensors.
• ifm electronic sensors.
• IO Link diagnostics and field device management.

Industrial Networking

• Industrial Ethernet.
• EtherNet/IP.
• PROFINET.
