Job Title: Solutions Engineer Location: Johannesburg-Onsite Job Purpose: Drive the successful delivery of channel projects by defining clear business requirements, prioritizing features based on value, and aligning stakeholders around a shared product vision. The role bridges business needs and technical execution, ensuring solutions are customer-focused, data-driven, and delivered efficiently to achieve strategic objectives. Accountability & Objectives: Manage & Prioritize Backlog: Ensure work is well-defined, prioritized, and focused on delivering value Elicit & Translate Requirements: Gather, analyze, and convert business needs into actionable deliverables Collaborate with Delivery Teams: Work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure effective, timely delivery Ensure Value Realization: Validate that delivered solutions meet business objectives and deliver measurable outcomes Key Responsibilities: Product Vision & Strategy: Translate strategic objectives into a roadmap that delivers measurable value. Stakeholder Management: Engage with business leaders, users, and technical teams to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure alignment across all parties. Requirements Elicitation & Analysis: Identify, analyze, and document business needs. Break down complex requirements into clear, actionable user stories or functional specifications. Backlog Ownership & Prioritization: Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring items are well-defined, prioritized based on business value, risk, and dependencies. Agile Delivery &Team Collaboration: Work closely with development teams in Agile environments to refine requirements, support sprint planning, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery. Value Maximization: Continuously assess product performance and outcomes, ensuring that delivered features meet business objectives and provide customer value. Data-Driven Decision Making: Use metrics, user feedback, and analytics to guide product decisions, improvements, and future enhancements. Quality Assurance & Acceptance: Define acceptance criteria, validate delivered solutions, and ensure outputs meet business requirements before release. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve business processes, workflows, and system efficiencies through analysis and innovation. Change Management & Communication: Support adoption of new solutions by clearly communicating changes, impacts, and benefits to stakeholders and end users Measurements: Business Value Delivery: Achievement of OKRs, ROI, and measurable impact of delivered features Customer Impact: User adoption, engagement, and satisfaction Delivery Efficiency: On-time delivery, sprint predictability, and cycle time Backlog & Requirements Quality: Well-defined, prioritized backlog with minimal rework or defects Stakeholder Alignment: Stakeholder satisfaction, clear communication, and reduced misalignment
