Our client in the Global Business Solutions Industry, requires the services of a Payroll Administrator to join the team.
Key performance areas
- Data Entry and Quality Assurance:
- Accurately input relevant order information into the clientsupplied application, adhering to project specifications.
- Verify the accuracy of encoded data before proceeding to the next field to ensure highquality output.
- Perform additional tasks as required by project specifications.
- Payroll Processing Tasks:
- Set up client and employee profiles.
- Process employee terminations and update employee records.
- Configure various types of employee deductions.
- Batch and organize received employee files.
- Upload employee 201 files to the client’s server.
- Verify employee data in the time clock system.
- Update the Daily Status Report.
- Review transferred files for completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor pending documents for processing.
- Perform time sheet data entry.
- Generate payroll and quarterly allocation reports (for selected clients).
- Conduct payroll reviews and post payroll transactions.
- Execute other payrollrelated tasks as requested.
- Operational Compliance and Reporting:
- Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Attend project orientations, jobrelated training, and company-initiated learning sessions as needed.
- Report issues encountered with client applications to the immediate supervisor.
- Notify the supervisor of any machine or network breakdowns.
- Ensure compliance with company rules and regulations, which shall include but are not limited to the Employee Code of Discipline, the policies on Quality Management System (QMS), Information Security Management System (ISMS), Environment Health & Safety (EHS), and Environmental Management System (EMS); Data Privacy Act (DPA); and other duties and responsibilities prescribed for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with all Non-Conformity Corrective Action Preventive Action Concessions (NCAPACs) and all other audit findings within the prescribed period.
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
- Report security incidents and/or any identified security weaknesses.
The successful candidate must have
- Matric with a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or any related business course
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or willingness to obtain within one year
- At least 1-3 years’ experience in payroll
- Must have a desire to work in a payroll environment
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word & Excel)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to grasp new concepts quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be willing to work in office
- Must be willing to work from 14:00 – Midnight daily
- Must have reliable transport to and from work
