SUMMARY
The purpose of the HR Practitioner is to manage the overall day to day operations of the Human Resources department on behalf of the client and direct and co-ordinate all Human resource activities.
POSITION INFO
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Recruitment and Talent Management Manage end-to-end recruitment processes and ensure timely filling of vacant positions. Conduct effective candidate screening in line with Employment Equity policies. Oversee employment contracts, job descriptions, and staff induction programs. Compile and analyse staff turnover reports Industrial Relations & Compliance Provide expert guidance on IR issues and legislative compliance Manage internal and external disciplinary processes Represent our client at CCMA conciliations and arbitrations Track and document all IR matters and appeals Ensure consistent application of sanctions and performance management Payroll & Operations Management Oversee biometric clocking systems and shift roster management Manage salary processes, documentation, and query resolution Handle termination processes including exit interviews and reporting Policy Development & Administration Formulate and recommend HR policies and procedures Maintain HR information systems and employee records Prepare comprehensive monthly/quarterly management reports Manage Employment Equity and Skills Development reporting Learning & Development Facilitate induction training and identify training needs Implement performance management systems across the organisation Maintain training records and coordinate external training programs Lead skills development planning initiatives Strategic HR Projects Conduct regular HR compliance audits Manage new site openings from HR perspective Lead special HR projects and initiatives Key Responsibilities Include : Managing recruitment and placement processes Leading IR strategy and external dispute representation Overseeing payroll operations and compliance Developing HR policies and maintaining information systems Driving learning and development initiatives Conducting HR audits and managing strategic projects Key qualifications/requirements Relevant tertiary or equivalent qualification 3-5 years HR experience High level of computer literacy - specifically on MS Excel and Outlook Comprehensive understanding of current labour legislation Proven hands-on Industrial Relations experience, including external dispute resolution Employment Equity and Skills Development legislation experience Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise at all levels Strong project management and prioritisation abilities High energy levels and self-driven initiative Excellent computer skills and attention to detail
