Opportunity for a qualified and experienced Cost & Management Accountant with a leading Manufacturer in the Marine industry.

POSITION INFO

Leading Manufacturer of Sea-going vessels in Cape Town is seeking a qualified and experienced Cost Accountant. You will be reporting to the Managing Director and will liaise closely with the Financial Manager, procurement and production departments in order to monitor & report on the relevant management accounts. This will include Material Variances, Contract prices, Cost of labour, Cost of projects, Forecast of BOM costs against actual costs, investigating variances, drawing up of relevant reports and providing monthly management reports to all departments. You will also be expected to implement new SOP's where needed in order to prevent losses. Requirements: Diploma/Degree - Cost & Management Accounting Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Manufacturing environment In depth understanding of manufacturing Previous experience in working with Bill of Material (BOM), costing and variances Knowledge and understanding of Work in Progress(WIP) Advanced Excel skills Kindly note that if you have not received any feedback 2 weeks after your application, please consider your application unsuccessful.
