PAN BOILER X3 (FIXED TERM CONTRACT)

The responsibilities of the post include the following duties amongst others:

• Boil refined/recovery house pans, producing massecuite/seed of the required quality and quantity.
• Responsible for massecuite/crystal quality and molasses purity.
• Manage tanks and vessel levels, creating a continuous and stable production environment.
• Guide supervisors.
• Prevent sugar loss.
• Pan floor troubleshooting and maintenance requirement reporting.
• Conduct pan inspections and report defects.
• Perform ad hoc operational requirements.
• Maintenance of good timekeeping
• Must take ownership of the section – housekeeping.
• Adhere to company policies and standards.
• Comply with and observe all HSE and food safety requirements.

The Ideal Candidate Would Meet The Following Requirements

• Matric plus a tertiary qualification will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 3- 5 years of experience as a qualified Pan Boiler
• Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision
• Ability to work as a team, self-driven, hardworking, punctual, honest and reliable.
• Must pay attention to detail and have a positive attitude towards safety.
• Relevant pan-boiling qualification or training would be advantageous
