POSITION INFO
Key Responsibilities Supervise the daily operations of the Service Centre. Manage and record incoming materials and all return-to-stock material. Supervise the pulling and allocation of input materials for production requirements. Conduct detailed handovers with the Night Shift Supervisor to ensure continuity of operations. Manage and coordinate all processing activities, including guillotining, cutting, shearing, band saw operations, and other steel processing functions. Oversee and assist with band saw operations where required. Ensure production schedules are achieved efficiently, safely, and on time. Monitor workflow and allocate resources to maximize productivity and throughput. Lead, motivate, train, and manage Service Centre personnel. Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and operational performance. Ensure machinery is operated safely, effectively, and in accordance with company procedures. Work closely with maintenance personnel to minimize downtime and ensure preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to. Monitor quality standards and ensure all processed material meets customer specifications. Drive waste reduction initiatives and optimize material utilization. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements. Provide regular production, efficiency, and performance reports to management. Assist with capacity planning and future operational improvement initiatives. Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the Service Centre.
