Senior Full Stack Developer (Hybrid)

We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Full Stack Developer to join a high-performing engineering team building a modern, cloud-native SaaS platform used at enterprise scale. This is a hands-on contract role for someone who thrives on solving complex backend challenges while still being comfortable moving across the full stack when needed.

You’ll be working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment where engineering quality, pragmatic decision-making, and real-world impact matter. If you enjoy building systems that actually get used — not just demoed — this role will feel like home.

Back-End Development

• Design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and backend services
• Own technical quality within your squad (code reviews, architecture decisions)
• Work effectively with SQL Server, Entity Framework, and Dapper
• Integrate with cloud services and messaging systems
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and developer experience improvements

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work within an agile delivery framework (sprints, planning, retrospectives)
• Partner with front-end developers to design clean, usable APIs
• Participate in technical discussions and design sessions
• Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly

Knowledge Sharing

• Share best practices and backend expertise across the team
• Support and mentor less experienced developers through practical guidance

Essential

• Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET (7+ years)
• Deep understanding of API design and service-oriented architecture
• Solid experience with SQL Server and performance optimisation
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Familiarity with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines
• Full stack awareness (ability to work across boundaries when needed)
• Experience in agile/Scrum environments
• Strong communication skills

Desirable

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and deployment pipelines
• Familiarity with messaging/event-driven systems
• Exposure to containerisation (e.g. Docker)
• Experience with additional languages (e.g. Python, Rust)
• Observability tools (e.g. distributed tracing, telemetry)
• Exposure to AI/ML integration patterns
• Real-time communication technologies
• Mentoring or coaching experience
