Cloud Product Owner - Johannesburg or Cape Town (Hybrid)

Contract: 6 to 12 months (negotiable based on project scope) Working Model Hybrid: 3 days onsite | 2 days remote per week Purpose Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Product Owner to manage the enterprise Cloud Platform product. The successful candidate will define the product vision, roadmap, and backlog to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud capabilities that enable business innovation and technology delivery across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Define and communicate the Cloud Platform product vision and roadmap. Own, manage, and prioritise the platform backlog based on business and engineering value. Drive adoption of cloud platform capabilities across the enterprise. Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure teams. Balance platform reliability, performance, security, and cost optimisation. Define product success measures and monitor platform adoption and customer satisfaction. Manage stakeholder engagement and product governance throughout the product lifecycle. Champion Agile Product Ownership and drive continuous platform improvement. Requirements Proven experience as a Product Owner. Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (AWS experience is advantageous). Strong understanding of Platform Engineering and Cloud Operations. Experience with DevOps and Agile delivery methodologies. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and platform services. Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimisation. Experience with product roadmap development and backlog management. Strong stakeholder management and value realisation skills. Financial Services industry experience is advantageous. SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification is preferred.
