Are you a hands-on Engineering Technician with experience in generators, electrical systems, and mechanical maintenance? We are looking for a motivated individual to join our operations team in Cape Town
POSITION INFO
Minimum requirements: Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on generator sets and associated mechanical and electrical equipment Operate, inspect, and maintain generators and gas field equipment to maximise performance and efficiency Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime Provide after-hours call-out support when required Monitor equipment performance and control operating costs Order and manage spare parts and maintain accurate maintenance records Support the installation, commissioning, and handover of new equipment and sites Supervise contractors and support Operations Technicians through training and technical guidance Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards Conduct air emissions monitoring and respond appropriately to environmental incidents Trade qualification or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Proven experience maintaining generators, engines, and associated plant equipment Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage systems Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites Good computer, administration, and record-keeping skills.
