Qualifications And Experience
Applicants must have:
- A Culinary Diploma
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Sous Chef
- Knowledge of pastry preparation and baking
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Direct food preparation and collaborate with the Head Chef
- Assist in the design and development of food and beverage menus
- Produce high-quality dishes, ensuring excellence in both presentation and taste
- Oversee and supervise kitchen staff
- Assist with menu planning, inventory control, and supply management
- Ensure food quality standards are maintained and the kitchen remains in excellent condition
- Maintain cleanliness at all workstations and ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Offer innovative suggestions and ideas to improve kitchen performance
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment
- Maintain food costs and stock levels in line with operational requirements
