SUMMARY
Our client, based in Ballito, is seeking a Drone Engineer / Technician to build, assemble, program, and test their proprietary range of drones.
The successful candidate will contribute to research and development, rapid prototyping, and independently design and implement innovative technical solutions.
POSITION INFO
Critical skills: Basic understanding of electrical circuits Basic knowledge and use of hand tools Strong problem solving ability Ability to read and understand product datasheets Desirable Traits: Previous work as an electrical technician Previous experience in a machine shop Understanding of different communication protocols (PWM, SBUS, I2C, UART, CANBus etc.) Previous use of one or more fight control software (BetaFlight, Ardupilot, INAV etc.) Exposure to drones/RC vehicles in either a private or professional capacity Design experience using one or more forms of CAD software (Solidworks, Fusion, Inventor etc.) Previous experience in 3D printing Experience in circuit board repair or design Experience with Arduino/ ESP32 programming and prototyping Understanding of PID systems Should you not receive a response within the next 2 weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
