Minimum Requirements
Valid driver’s license
Own reliable transport preferred
Experience working on large Commercial Marine Engines
Trade Tested
- Must have OWN Toolbox
- 3- 5 years Diesel Fitter experience within the marine sector
- Strong expertise in engine overhauls & hydraulic tensioning tools
- Solid understanding of fuel, lube oil, cooling water, air systems, precision measuring
Key Responsibilities Include
- Perform maintenance & repairs on Wartsila/MAN/Caterpillar Diesel engines
- Overhaul key engine components (cylinder heads, pistons, liners, pumps, bearings
- Support engine overhauls & axillary system repairs as assigned
- Complete basic Job Cards & service reports
- Uphold safety, compliance, and operational standards across vessels
- Adhere to safety standards, procedures & company policies
- Assist with routine maintenance and servicing of equipment
- Support, fault-finding and troubleshooting
- Performing inspections and reporting defects
- Assisting senior technicians with repairs and diagnostics
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and a safe work environment
