SUMMARY
A well-established national organisation is seeking an experienced and results-driven
Branch Sales Manager to lead and grow its sales operations in Polokwane. This role is suited to a dynamic sales professional who enjoys building client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth.
The successful candidate will spend approximately 80% of their time on external sales and business development and 20% on internal sales administration, including preparing quotations, following up on leads, and maintaining accurate sales records. In addition, the Branch Sales Manager will play a key role in expanding the national sales team while overseeing digital marketing initiatives across multiple online platforms.
POSITION INFO
Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Generate new business through cold calling, networking, and client visits. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. Achieve monthly and annual sales targets. Prepare, submit, and follow up on quotations. Conduct client presentations and negotiate contracts. Develop and implement sales strategies to grow market share. Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and daily diary. Identify new market opportunities and expand the customer base. Online Marketing Manage and execute the company's online marketing strategy. Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and company websites. Coordinate email marketing campaigns. Generate online sales leads through digital marketing initiatives. Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements. Work with management to strengthen the company's online presence and brand visibility. Sales Administration Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales documentation. Follow up on customer enquiries and outstanding quotations. Maintain accurate CRM and customer records. Compile sales activity and performance reports. Perform general sales administration duties. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in external sales and business development. Previous experience as a Sales Manager . Proven experience in online marketing and social media management . Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp Business, X (Twitter), email marketing, and website marketing. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Health and Safety principles. Valid South African driver's licence. Own reliable vehicle. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Skills Strong leadership and people management skills. Strategic sales planning and execution. Experience growing sales teams and mentoring staff. Excellent organisational and time management abilities. Highly motivated, target-driven, and self-disciplined. Strong business development and networking skills. Ability to analyse digital marketing performance and improve campaign effectiveness.
