Microbiology Laboratory Manager Job Summary We are seeking a Microbiology Laboratory Manager to oversee all Microbiology activities in the laboratory and Compounding facility. The role involves ensuring compliance with local guidelines and global requirements, managing staff performance, maintaining quality control, and initiating improvement projects. Key Responsibilities Manage routine testing and communication of results promptly. Develop systems for ordering consumables and maintaining necessary stock levels. Implement and maintain SOPs and systems, updating them as required. Identify new requirements, suggest corrective actions, and ensure compliance. Monitor and control the environment in classified areas. Implement environmental monitoring programs and contamination control strategies. Reporting on EM results, making recommendations, and implementing corrective actions. Assist in continuous improvement projects. Manage pest control regime and annual reporting on trends. Management of Staff Draft or update job descriptions and performance contracts. Identify and communicate training needs, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct performance reviews. Manage recruitment needs, leave applications, and policy compliance. Implement disciplinary actions when necessary. Budget Management Set and review annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets. Monitor adherence to budgets and make adjustments when needed. Forecast spending and ensure accrual at year-end. Quality Control Release critical consumables for the CC facility and ensure they meet quality standards. Improvement Projects Initiate and assist with projects to ensure compliance with global standards.
