Assistant Driver

We are seeking a Assistant Driver to join our team in Centurion on a contract basis. As an Assistant, you will report to the Operations department and assist with various tasks related to logistics and delivery.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with loading and offloading goods from delivery vehicles.
• Verify delivery quantities against invoices, delivery notes, or manifests.
• Help secure cargo to prevent damage during transportation.
• Accompany the driver on delivery routes and assist with navigation when required.
• Obtain customer signatures and proof of delivery documentation.
• Ensure products are delivered in good condition.
• Assist with the collection of returns and damaged goods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
• Follow company safety procedures and customer service standards.
• Report delivery issues, shortages, damages, or customer concerns to the driver or supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

Sectors: Logistics, Warehouse & Freight, FMCG
Functions: Retail, Wholesale, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Dispatching & Receiving, Food & Beverage

Qualifications:

• Grade 12
• 2 - 3 years experience in logistics and distribution
• Clean criminal record
• Good communication skills
