Senior Fullstack Developer

A leading technology-focused organisation is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer with strong AI engineering capability to join their in-office team in Melrose, Johannesburg. This role requires a highly capable developer who can deliver robust, scalable systems while also contributing to practical AI integration across business solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend and full-stack applications using .NET and C#
• Develop and optimise APIs, backend services, and database structures (PostgreSQL, advanced SQL)
• Contribute to AI-enabled development workflows using tools such as Claude Enterprise
• Improve and modernise existing systems, including performance and reliability enhancements
• Collaborate with business users to translate operational requirements into technical solutions
• Support data architecture including relational and vector-based approaches

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in C# / .NET development and backend engineering
• Strong experience with API development and database design (PostgreSQL, SQL optimisation)
• Proven exposure to AI-assisted development tools and workflows (Claude or equivalent)
• Experience working with complex business or fintech environments advantageous
• Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to work across business functions
• Ability to work full-time in-office in Melrose, Johannesburg
