About The Role

As we prepare to open the doors to Le Parc by tashas in Mouille Point, we are looking for talented and passionate Pastry Chefs to join our opening culinary team.

As a Chef – Pastry, you will help bring this vision to life, producing exceptional baked goods and desserts that reflect the elegance, craftsmanship and attention to detail that define the Le Parc experience.

Your Mission

You will create exceptional pastries, breads and desserts by combining technical skill, creativity and consistency while maintaining the highest standards of quality, organisation and food safety.

Through your passion for baking and attention to detail, you will help deliver memorable dining experiences and contribute to the success of our opening team.

What You'll Be Doing

Pastry Production

  • Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, biscuits and signature desserts according to brand recipes and standards.
  • Accurately measure and prepare doughs, batters, fillings, creams, icings and toppings.
  • Monitor baking temperatures, timing and product quality to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Decorate and finish pastries and desserts with creativity, precision and attention to detail.
  • Ensure every item meets Le Parc's presentation and quality standards before service.
  • Assist in developing seasonal pastries, desserts and bakery items that complement the restaurant's offering.

Kitchen Operations

  • Plan daily production to meet operational requirements and service demands.
  • Ensure ingredients are fresh, correctly stored and used within their shelf life.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels and communicate ordering requirements proactively.
  • Minimise waste through careful planning and responsible ingredient management.
  • Operate ovens, mixers and bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Support the wider kitchen team during busy service periods when required.

Quality & Brand Standards

  • Maintain exceptional standards of flavour, consistency and presentation.
  • Ensure every pastry and dessert reflects the quality and craftsmanship associated with Le Parc by tashas.
  • Take pride in every detail, from preparation and baking to finishing and presentation.
  • Contribute to a culture where excellence and continuous improvement are part of every service.

Teamwork & Culture

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across all kitchen sections.
  • Support the onboarding and development of new team members.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all food safety, HACCP and health regulations.
  • Maintain clean, organised and sanitised workstations, equipment and preparation areas.
  • Store ingredients and finished products correctly to maintain quality and freshness.
  • Ensure bakery equipment is properly maintained and report any maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Promote a safe, hygienic and organised working environment at all times.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in pastry, baking or dessert preparation within a professional kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of bread making, pastry techniques and dessert production.
  • The ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Excellent attention to detail and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational and production-planning abilities.
  • A genuine passion for baking, creativity and hospitality.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
