SUMMARY

A well-established Accounting, Auditing and Advisory practice in Walmer, Port Elizabeth is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Consultant to join its growing team.

POSITION INFO

Minimum Requirements BCom Accounting, BCom Taxation or a related qualification. 3-5 years' taxation experience within an accounting or auditing practice. Strong working knowledge of South African tax legislation and SARS processes. Experience with SARS eFiling and tax software such as CaseWare. Registered Tax Practitioner (SAIT) will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of individual, trust and corporate tax clients. Prepare and submit income tax, provisional tax, VAT and other statutory returns. Ensure clients remain compliant with all SARS requirements and deadlines. Liaise directly with SARS regarding audits, verifications, objections and general tax queries. Provide tax advice and support to clients on a range of tax-related matters. Assist with tax planning and identify opportunities to improve tax efficiency. Keep up to date with changes in South African tax legislation. Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering excellent service.
