Medical Technologist/Technician
Position: Full-time / Office-based
Location: Pretoria
Start date: 1 August 2026 (flexible to accommodate notice periods)
We are a growing private pathology laboratory committed to delivering accurate, timely and reliable diagnostic services to healthcare professionals and patients.
We are seeking a dedicated, professional and quality-focused Medical Technologist / Technician to join our laboratory team.
The successful candidate will perform specialised laboratory testing, validate analytical results, oversee quality management processes, troubleshoot laboratory equipment and provide technical support within the laboratory.
Minimum Requirements
- BTech Biomedical Technology (or recognised equivalent)
- National Diploma (Medical Technologist) / National Certificate (Medical Technician)
- Current and valid registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Technologist/Technician – Clinical Pathology
- Minimum 3 – 5 years' experience in a pathology laboratory
- Knowledge of instrumentation and methodologies
- Knowledge of MS Office (required), while knowledge of laboratory systems such as Skylims and Healthbridge will be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of laboratory quality management and good laboratory practice.
- Strong understanding of pathology test processes and procedures
- Numerical reasoning skills
- Fluent in English and/or Afrikaans (read, write and speak)
- Experience in a SANAS-accredited or private pathology laboratory will be advantageous
