WAREHOUSE LEAD - CLAIRWOOD, DURBAN

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Lead to join our operations team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, leading operational teams, maintaining stock accuracy, ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety requirements, and driving productivity across the warehouse operation.

The successful candidate will have experience in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain operations and be comfortable leading teams in a demanding, customer-focused environment.

• Lead and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch activities
• Ensure stock is handled, stored, and moved accurately and efficiently
• Monitor inventory integrity and support stock take and cycle count activities
• Manage warehouse teams to achieve operational and productivity targets
• Drive employee performance through coaching, training, and regular feedback
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and operational standards
• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
• Coordinate the maintenance and control of warehouse equipment and assets
• Monitor operational costs and support cost-control initiatives
• Compile operational reports and provide performance insights to management
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and service delivery
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure customer expectations and service levels are achieved

• Matric Certificate or Grade 12.
• A National Diploma and or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to5 years of work experience in warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or cold storage operations.
• Minimum of 2 years' of work experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Experience managing warehouse teams and operational activities.
• Strong knowledge of stock control and inventory management processes.
• Exposure to Food Safety Management Systems.
• Knowledge of material handling equipment and warehouse operations.
• Computer literacy with strong reporting and administrative capabilities.
