Our client has a vacancy for an Executive Sales candidate, on a permanent basis, based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.

Applicants are required to strictly meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 with a proven track record (5+ years) in the sales industry of achieving sales targets essential
  • Knowledge of and exposure to the boating industry advantageous
  • Excellent proposal writing / presentation skills and a strong CRM background
  • Demonstrated skill in prospecting and cold calling and able to do project costing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; valid drivers, own vehicle, and willing to travel
  • MS Office skills with Intermediate Excel. Primarily an office-based role.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and part of a team

The s uccessful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Sell and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach and by creating awareness and growing the company brand
  • Primarily focused on sales of standard designs
  • Respond to website, email and phone inquiries, as well as distributor orders
  • Make initial contact with prospective buyers
  • Establish client needs and recommend suitable products in conjunction with Technical Manager
  • Prepare costings, plus any additional equipment required (engines/ trailers)
  • Agree on delivery method with clients and cost accordingly
  • Generate final proposals and build time in consultation with Sales Manager and Production Manager
  • Submit proposal and follow up
  • In the event of a sale, take care of all client liaisons, visits, feedback reporting, vessel handover, etc
  • Attend to any customer complaints
  • Attend relevant industry trade shows where required
  • Coordinate all marketing activities for the local market
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations as required

FUTURE ROLE EVOLUTION:

  • Future role will include travel to existing and prospective distributors in Southern Africa
  • With time the role will evolve into one of larger sales to larger corporate clients and gov institutions
