About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Industrial Engineer to optimize and enhance our operational processes within the manufacturing sector. This role focuses on process improvement, quality assurance, and efficiency enhancement, allowing you to play a crucial part in driving productivity while ensuring sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed analyses of production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement efficient systems for production planning, material management, and inventory control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies that enhance process performance and reduce waste.
  • Utilize statistical methods to assess and improve the quality of products and processes.
  • Perform time studies and develop standard operating procedures to establish best practices.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor production outputs and develop metrics to gauge performance against established targets.
  • Provide training and support to staff on process improvements and efficiency initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven track record of optimizing production processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for process simulation and production planning.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Honors degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent advanced coursework.
  • Experience with automation technologies and their application in industrial processes.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality management systems.
  • Membership in a professional engineering body is a plus.
