You are an experienced developer with a solid understanding of the SDLC, software design patterns, test-driven development, and Object-Oriented (OO) design principles.

  • C#
  • .Net Core 3.1 and .NET 6
  • Restful APIs
  • Cloud Knowledge - specifically Azure
  • Source Control (Git)
  • Entity Framework Core

The following will be an added advantage

  • Atlassian Suite (specifically Jira and Confluence)
  • Domain Driven Design (DDD)
  • Distributed Computing Experience (Microservices)
  • Insurance, Insurtech, financial services, and/or FinTech knowledge and experience

Responsible For

  • As a C# Developer, you will be responsible for performing key software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities, including:
  • Collaborating with product owners and architects to effectively translate business and technical software requirements into commercialized product deliverables to satisfy client needs.
  • Translating requirements into technical specifications and conducting impact analysis of the solution.
  • Implementing technical specifications and developing new product features.
  • Updating development stream management tools, merging code, and maintaining version controls using Git.
  • Conducting product development testing before release to the quality assurance team.
  • Conducting demos of completed development.
  • Creating user documentation. This role requires someone who is a proactive problem-solver and enjoys working independently or within a team-based structure. While our developers work on individual projects, we encourage a collaborative and supportive environment where solutions and ideas are shared to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Effective translation of business and technical software requirements into a commercialized product deliverable to satisfy client requirements.
  • Provide reasonable estimates for completion of work.
  • Ensure proper management of the entire software development life cycle to ensure on-time, on-cost, on quality delivery.
  • Follow company coding. standards and rules.
  • Using effective and efficient coding methods.
  • Provide QA with working solutions, test guidelines, and instructions.
  • Develop solutions that meet the customer’s requirements.
  • Document features that have been developed.
  • Test code changes – Dev and unit testing.
  • Participate in scrum processes and make meaningful contributions.
  • Communicate timeously with the Team Lead/Scrum master on impediments.
  • Maintain high standards of quality to minimize rework and resource wastage.
  • Timeous completion of incidents as per time allocation.
  • Timeous resolution of support requests.
  • Furnish the support team with relevant information for the compilation of service estimates when applicable.
  • Ensure Jira is kept updated accurately with detailed, relevant information and documentation as required: o Code or functionality changes, Changes in requirements o Impact analyses
  • Provide user manuals/documentation when relevant on confluence.
  • Accurately update development stream management tool, merge code correctly and maintain version control.
  • Log and manage of time on Jira items as required in line with time estimates.
  • Continuous self-development in line with skills matrix.
