SAIPA Trainee Accountant - Cape Town

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SAIPA Trainee Accountant to join our client’s professional accounting practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or aspiring accountant to gain valuable practical experience while completing their SAIPA training. The successful candidate will receive mentorship and exposure to a broad range of accounting, taxation, and financial administration functions within a dynamic professional environment.

• Interpret clients’ accounting records and compile annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for SMEs.
• Process monthly accounting transactions for VAT purposes and reconcile records up to trial balance.
• Perform tax calculations and prepare income tax and provisional tax returns.
• Complete VAT and PAYE calculations and submissions.
• Assist with various client-related administrative and accounting matters.
• Resolve client and SARS-related queries professionally and efficiently.

• National Senior Certificate (Matric).
• No prior work experience required.
• BCom Accounting degree or equivalent qualification (completed or currently in progress).
• Strong computer literacy, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Xero accounting software will be advantageous.
• Excellent organisational and self-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
