The Financial Director has primary responsibility for planning, implementation, managing and running of all finance activities including business planning, budgeting and forecasting. Role will extend to obtaining and maintaining investor relations and partnership compliance. This executive role directly reports into the Managing Director, who will give orientation and advice on all aspects including support for contract acquisition and order/program execution.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Matric
• Degree in Accounting |ESSENTIAL
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior role| ESSENTIAL
• Freight Forwarding experience is a necessary requirement | ESSENTIAL
• Freight Forwarding TMS experience is required | Cargo Wise, Shipshape, SAP | ESSENTIAL
• Experience in controlling accounting in a Group | HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS (multiple companies, countries and currencies
• Must have excellent communication skills in English
• Computer proficiency: MS Office & MS Excel Advanced + TMS programmes
• FULL FINANCE, CONTROLLING AND ACCOUNTABILITY PROFILE
• Own reliable vehicle & valid Driver’s Licence (no endorsements)

DUTIES AND KEY PERFORMANCE ACCOUNTABILITIES:-

Finance, Controlling and Accountability:

• Define Financial Goals

• Develop the financial planning and strategy

• Analyse complex financial data

• Evaluate investments

• Management and ensure tax compliance, by supervising audit and tax analysis.

• Monitor cash flow and expenses

• Review control departmental budgets

• Implement and ensure internal control on AFC areas

• Develop and implement accounting policies

• Overseeing audit and tax functions

• Forecast and budgeting planning

• Training accounts staff if required

• Review of departmental budgets

• Assessing, managing and minimizing risk

• Implementing and managing internal controls

• Month end processing / reporting etc

• Overseeing Debtors / Creditors control

• Supervise HR processes and ensure their outcomes are compliant
