ACCOUNTANT | AUTOMOTIVE COMPONENT MANUFACTURING - Pretoria

An established automotive component manufacturing company based in Pretoria is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join its finance team.

Minimum Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Auditing

3–5 years' accounting experience including:

• Financial records
• Treasury activities
• Debtors & Creditors
• Financial reporting
• VAT returns & Tax

Sound knowledge of accounting principles and business economics

Advanced MS Excel and SAP skills

Excellent English communication skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the treasury functions
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs
• Prepare weekly bank reconciliations
• Post receipts and payments accurately and timeously while ensuring compliance with exchange control
• regulations
• Monitor outstanding debtors and support collection when required
• Review monthly creditor reconciliations
• Assist with processing of invoices
• Prepare and process monthly accruals and provisions
• Prepare monthly VAT returns
• Prepare withholding tax submissions and payments
• Assist with monthly reporting
• Ensure monthly report deadlines
• Financial quarterly reporting
• Liaison with other departments
• Maintain an effective internal control environment.
