Quantity Surveyor

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable specialist project delivery team based in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will bring strong mining project experience, solid commercial awareness and the ability to manage cost control, contracts and project reporting across complex engineering environments.

Requirements

• BSc (Honours) in Quantity Surveying
• Intermediate level of 5-8 years post honours qualification.
• Very strong mining experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, Bills of Quantities and tender documentation for mining and engineering projects.
• Manage project cost control, cash flow forecasts, valuations, payment certificates and monthly cost reporting.
• Administer contracts, including variations, claims, subcontractor accounts and final accounts.
• Support procurement through tender evaluations, quotation reviews and supplier/subcontractor negotiations.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, contractors and clients to provide accurate commercial and cost advice.
• Identify cost risks, monitor project expenditure and recommend value engineering or cost-saving opportunities.
