About Tuhf Capital
Tuhf Capital is a property-entrepreneur financier — we fund emerging and established property entrepreneurs who develop and renovate buildings to create affordable rental housing across South Africa's metros and townships. We are a commercially driven, impact-conscious business, guided by our values: Partnership, Trust, Excellence, and Commercial Success.
The role
We are looking for a Reporting Accountant to support our Management Accountant in safeguarding the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of the group's financial-reporting cycle — monthly management reporting and consolidation, budgeting and forecasting, and the annual financial statements for every entity in the group, including the property-owning companies. This is a reporting- and consolidation-focused role (individual contributor) for someone who takes pride in producing group results on time and on a verified basis.
What you'll do
Monthly management reporting & consolidation
· Prepare and consolidate monthly management accounts for all group entities to deadline
· Perform the group consolidation — intercompany eliminations and reconciliations — for a clean consolidated pack
· Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations and commentary that surface issues early
Budgeting & forecasting
· Develop, consolidate and maintain annual and medium-term budgets and forecasts across the group
· Produce monthly budget-versus-actual variance reporting with corrective-action recommendations on material variances
· Support the Management Accountant in tabling budgets and forecasts for approval
Annual financial statements (AFS) & audit
· Compile AFS for all group entities under the applicable framework (IFRS / IFRS for SMEs)
· Prepare consolidated group AFS, including consolidation workings and supporting notes
· Prepare audit files, liaise with auditors, resolve queries and implement recommendations
Stakeholder engagement, compliance & controls
· Provide reporting input into finance and management forums; build relationships to secure accurate information on time
· Adhere to internal financial controls and policies, maintain accurate records, and identify reporting-process improvements
What you'll bring
· A relevant degree in Accounting / Finance (BCom Accounting or equivalent)
· CA(SA) or CIMA — qualified or well-progressed — a strong advantage
· 3–5 years' relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years of group / consolidated reporting
· Experience preparing AFS and management accounts (property-accounting experience a strong advantage)
· Sound IFRS / IFRS for SMEs and consolidation knowledge; strong Excel and accounting-software proficiency
· High attention to detail, strong planning and a service-oriented, accountable approach
Why Tuhf
Join a purpose-driven business where finance genuinely drives the strategy, a group with real breadth (including a property-owning portfolio) to sharpen your consolidation and reporting craft, and a culture built on Partnership, Trust, Excellence and Commercial Success.
